WOW he seems to have really "fallen" for the GG. Haaa Love is a great thing I think anyone who goes from the e-cig batts to a mod device is very moved and thrilled to have the performance and batt life the mods provide. The GG looks well made, but may be plagued by the same problem my 1st mod had (the chuck). When the button is on the side and protrudes from the side, it is no longer pocket friendly. My Chuck has been replaced by the Silver Bullet. The SB has a recessed button and is a very solid device and works at 3.7v or 6v (for the brave). I don't believe any of the other mods can really threaten the SD though. I dont see to much fan base growing for the GG.

LOL - Imeo really is a bit of "wassock". The GG is VERY expensive! To me, the only "super-premium" e-cigs worth a light are the ones David makes at Super T - his stuff is really high-quality special-machined skilled-assembly/design and hand-finished to the nth degree (it is also REALLY expensive). I think the current SD pricing makes the SD the best value "premium" device on the market.

(I've actually got a SuperSix from Super T on the way, but to be honest, apart from it being really nicely made, I'm expecting it to be no better than an SD, and I'll be using it as 3.7v device anyway - I just thought it looked like a nice bit of well made kit and had too much money at the time ) I promise not to do it again...

Good grief,I would probably hire him to do a living will on DVD for me
over 400 view & no comments

I too have an S6 coming soon, just couldn't resist the workmanship.
The SDs will be my work horses though.

Haha It reminds me of one of the local adverts you used to see at the cinema when your young, for a local take away or something. Pure cheese. Bizarre

the SD set the high price for all these things.. we thought it was too expensive at the time.. the buyers didnt.. others thought if the SD sold at the price it did they could make similar things..

basically the market for such things no longer exists.. at least not at the price they previously sold at..

i did read the one prof has coming takes four hours of machine work on the body alone.. not exactly a viable proposition..

we run a small factory.. two skilled machinists.. who have trained up to do other things as well.. we have basic standing costs of a grand a week for our little factory.. that is in pounds not dollars.. and it is just to keep it going..

then we have selling and back up costs.. we are probably in a stronger position to survive in the new cig world than any other western maker/seller..

we dont see things that take four hours of machine work as competitors.. we see them as things that will not be around much longer and have never sold in anything other than very very small numbers.. the chinese are now producing half decent e cigs with half decent batteries at much lower prices.. people being people will buy them..

which in the real world dosnt leave much room for most of the western made "mods"

ten months ago demand for SDs at £99.99 quid a kit was way way higher than it is now at the lower prices..

the ego/tornado is a decent ecig the DSE 905 is now.. so will be any other chinese designed thing that comes out..

the SD is just about in the sellable ballpark price wise.. working on the assumption that other western makers are not in a position to drop their prices i see crunch time coming for most of them..

take a look at that huge great suppliers forum list on ECF.. check the numbers online against each one.. then wonder if many of them are actually selling anything..

the days of easy money flogging e cigs are over i think.. the initial growth of a year ago seems to have tailed off..

trog

ps... one simple truth.. if the things available now had have existed when we dreamed up the SD we would not have bothered.. we really did only make it because there was nothing out there that worked.. now there is.. the SD is still the cheapest long term e smoking solution around.. but selling long term isnt easy in todays world..
